Professional Development
The Institute recognises its role in supporting the continued development of the banking profession, which reduces strategic risk and creates a diverse talent pool based on skills, knowledge and professional conduct. We also recognise that talent alone is sometimes not enough, and our female membership in particular may face additional barriers, that could prevent them from achieving their full potential.
We are therefore delighted to introduce the ACCELERATE Programme which has been specifically tailored for women in business and banking to support diversity and inclusion in the workplace, and is designed to fill the career skills gaps that will quickly help to accelerate a women’s career. The programme is normally only available to women in large firms, and is designed and delivered by Abstract Consultancy. Abstract have agreed to host a public course for the first time exclusively to the Institute’s female membership.
The programme consists of 6 interactive workshop modules, taken every three weeks in succession across three months. The final module takes place 6 months later to assess and measure participant’s objectives. The modules cover a wide range of topics, designed to accelerate you and your career to a level of your choice.
• Building Superior Confidence
• Mastering Organisation Politics
• Maximising Your Personal Brand and Profile
• Attracting Sponsors and Mentors
• Boardroom Expectations and Future Readiness
• Personal Progress and Review
Upon completion delegates will receive an unaccredited certificate, together with a CPD certificate claiming up to 36 hours.
If you have any questions about the course, or would like to register your interest please email
